Hello everyone,
New here to the forums, and also very new to photography.
I've always been interested in photography, I feel I've always had a good eye for what would make a great photo (I like landscape, and vehicle photography personally), but never really had the means to get into it.
When the Nikon D40 first came out, I played with it a little bit at a store, loved it, but could never justify the cost of a DSLR. Well, the other day I had my friend Pat (pathoulihan1 on these forums) go out and take some pictures of my motorcycle with me and it made me decide it was time for me to get into photography.
I just purchased a barely-used Nikon D3100 with the standard 18-55mm lens on eBay and look forward to learning a lot.
