Is there a bulb that can be picked up at Home Depot or something along those lines that simulate natural light, or that could work with my external flash for fill light and look natural?

if you're talking about matching sunlight, it's all about bulb temperature. Also, sunlight comes in different temperatures depending on what time it is and the season... I think natural mid-day sunlight is about 5700K or something. Morning, it's considerably "cooler." you can google around and find out more.

You might also consider getting a CTO gel for the flash, and then use a regular bulb of whatever wattage suits your fancy. Just set your color temp in your camera to tungsten.
