Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I have had my Canon EOS xsi for about 2 days now. I have never used a Digital SLR before and I am enjoying it so far. The lens is the one from the kit. I would love if I could get some feed back...

For some reason I like the first one ... something about the patterns.

Second ... need work on focus.

You really need to work on Pet photography ... I don't think your cat is too pleased about the shot.

ok well, lets see ill try my best.

1st w/e it is, its overexposed plenty.
2nd one overexposed, and out of focus
3rd one.. ? i don't understand what you where trying to accomplish in this photo but w/e it was, its out of focus.

Work on your composition, and get to know some Exposure and shutter speed, read up on them a bit, Google them, there's tons of books out there.

Yep... ^he sumed it up^...

Good luck and have fun with it.

Of the three, I enjoy the cat photo the most -- out of focus, and all. If the eyes hadn't been cut off, I think it would have worked. That comes down to better composition. The first shot -- I just find myself wondering what it is. Without any context, it doesn't really work. The second -- badly out of focus, but still pretty. I would suggest reading up on ways to reduce camera-shake for hand-held shots.

The first photo is a ball that is inside of my mouse habitat. The cat is not mine. She is just some random neighborhood cat. She moved while I was taking the photo. The second one, was the first photo I took with my extension tubes and I used a tripod, so there was no shaking. Just inexperience here for all three photos. I literally only took about 50 photos so far with this camera. Before that, I only had a Nikon coolpix compact digital camera, so I think I have done alright so far. Especially since my new camera did not even have an instruction manual!

Not a bad first attempt, but I agree with what others have said. The biggest thing is now that you have your DSLR you think whatever you take a picture of, the picture will 'work'. But the problem is, that is not true. Before taking a picture think at what you want the picture to look like. Where do you want people to focus their eyes on? Stuff like that. :P

I take these pictures for fun. I am not doing this seriously like a lot of people here. It is a hobby and thats it for me. I am just doing this to pass time as my husband is preparing for deployment and so I wont go crazy during my pregnancy. I like the pictures I have. Obviously, this might not be the place for me.

Ah, you should just post your pictures, just say you want to share the images and don't ask us for C&C.

Some of us do have the ability to just view a photo ... and not instantly start typing.

Your camera's manual is your best friend... if you google the name of your camera and "manual" you should be able to find a PDF of it to download. That is, if you want to learn about your new hobby. It seems like your easily offended, you asked for feedback and you got it. Honest feedback is useful, empty compliments are not.
