Newbie DSLR Question

I'm about to purchase my first DSLR and need some input feedback on selection.

First, I'm an outdoor type. I fish quite a bit, all freshwater and from a boat generally. I've got a P&S Pentax Optio that rides the boat with me but I'm looking to upgrade and start a new hobby all at once.

Looking and comparing it would appear that the Pentax DSLR's fit best into my lifestyle and uses since they're sealed. I'm looking at the K200D specifically.

Are there other cameras I should be considering in this price range??

Welcome to the forum. The Canon 40D also has some weather sealing.

I don't think that either camera would survive and dunking though.
