newbie - equipment for garment photo shooting

I am seeking help with selecting appropriate equipment. I would like to setup a studio to photograph garments on a mannequin. The photos need to feature the garments with a complete white background (to be post on an online shop).

Currently I am using natural light and a white screen as a background though it involves a lot of photoshopping work to clear all the shadows. Any advise will be greatly appreciated!

Get some lights, aim them at the background. Take a couple of shots and adjust until no light "bleeds" onto the mannequin. Then get some more lights and light up the mannequn seperately
