Hello everyone,
I am Michael, I'm 24, and from Austin Texas. I am entirely new to photography, and my girlfriend, who has a BFA in Photography, is my sort-of mentor. I have a Nikon D40X with the stock lens. I am currently reading my first book on photography, "Understanding Photography." Eventually, I would like to second shoot with my girlfriend for wedding events, engagements, etc. But, baby steps first, more like fetus steps, for me -- but I'll get there (the-inner-artist-in-me willing). Anyways, I look forward to looking, reading, and learning from everyone, and welcome any criticism from any photos I post as I am here to further myself and become a decent photographer. I, personally, am interested in taking photos to make people happy, and to give them a tangible memory they can literally hold onto, and I like photos that tell a story or remind me of something. So, enough ranting, I look forward to growing with you all.
