Newbie - Live Music Photography

Hello all!

I'm going to be attending a friend's band's concert here in a couple weeks and would really like to get some shots. Working with a D5200, a 50mm 1.8, 18-55 (kit lens), and a 70-200mm. I also have an off-camera flash that I have wireless transmitter's for...was thinking about setting this up in the front by the singer...

Now, I know that this has been covered countless times but I'm not looking for "The Top Ten Things to Know About Music Photography" or any other such list. I would really like to get some feedback/tips based on your experience...Of course, if there's a resource out there that's been helpful, I'm happy to do some reading!

If it was me Michael I'd probably plan on using all of the above. Music gigs are creative events and most of the good shots I've noticed were done creatively. Some natural light, some flash, some spot flash on one artist. some with audience, etc, etc. Perhaps some long exposures with the flash firing at the end or the same with the remote flashes firing.
