I don't know if you're asking for C&C or not since you didn't say, so excuse me for doing so if it wasn't wanted...

None of these do anything for me at all. The subjects are uninteresting, and they're very snapshot-ish (as in, it doesn't seem like much thought, if any, was put into the composition). All but the last one seem a tad under exposed to me.

But welcome to the forum! Keep reading and practicing! This forum is a wealth of knowledge! :sillysmi:

I'm sure it would look better if you took number 2 again but with a different composition, but I like the idea. It would also probably look pretty good with a little more contrast and maybe as a B&W.

The C&C is greatly appreciated. In reading here and looking around I totally agree with you. :lol:

I have had my T2i for about a month now and haven't really had a lot of time to work with it. I went through some old pictures with my P&S and have really noticed the same snapshot type picture. But I am doing exactly as you said, reading and practicing.

All I was really doing with this was messing around with my DIY light box. It is a unique item I picked up at a fair trade store as a gift for my wife. It is actually a tea light candle holder. I was thinking about trying it with a candle buring in it as well.
