Distracting backgrounds. Are you in a press area or just spectating? These aren't bad for spectating but go for more pleasing backgrounds.

Thanks, I'll try to move myself. I am on the audience stand about 100-150 ft away, at f/5.6

If you can crop them a little tighter and straighten up the background horizon line they will work out much better for you. Generally table tennis shots without the ball in the picture don't work very well. You have a couple of nice ones here.

I recommend you edit post #1 and separate the images from each other instead of having them right up against each other.

But also zoom out a bit, too. Seeing the guy with his back to the camera, and the table, will provide some varying context. As it is, after the first two or three, they kinda' just start to look the same...

That red floor doesn't look bad at all! I noticed the same thing about the horizon line, that it would look better to have the camera straight (shooting from the stands if that's not always possible you could do some straightening later) but looking again I wonder if you were seated at an angle from this table?

You did get some nice photos, hope it's fun.
