Newborn baby Ivy

Did a newborn shoot for a coworker of my fiance. I made a point this time of enacting some advice I got from my last one, namely to work on more variety in my composition. Here are my six faves from the set. I'd love some C&C as they haven't gone to the parents yet. My biggest critique, cluttered backgrounds (had to work with the room we had). And now that I'm looking at them under a different room brightness, I think some of them are maybe a half stop underexposed..

I'm not a pro, but maybe you'll appreciate my opinion anyway. Right off the bat, on 3&4, the wood floor and wall on the left side of the photo steals my attention . Unfortunately in 3, it'll be a tight crop on the baby's head, but I think that background needs to be cropped out

...and in my opinion, pic 30 is much better than 29 (2 above)...you can actually see that the father is kissing the baby. The one you posted the baby is too covered up by the hands.

Thanks for the feedback, pro or not! I can see what you're saying about the background. I'll take another look at them and see what I think about some different crops. As for the other photo you mentioned, you make a good point about seeing more of the baby. Thanks again for the feedback!

And did I mention when I turned my back for 2 seconds, their dog licked the rear lens element of my 85mm that I MOMENTARILY set on the top of my camera bag... Took FOREVER to get all the goopy dog slobber off it..
