Newborns for C&C

Hi.
A few newborns for C&C. I'm aware that I need to buy a bean bag (desperately).
Am I over-softening the skin in number 6? ANy C& C on posing, colours PP, anything really. Sorry to post 6, probably too many :s

They are very nice!!!
2. the baby is floating abovea bunch of flowers which are floating above a one sided backet which has a bear attached to it. It's really dark and the baby is rather dwarfed by the other floating props in the image. Toss it. It's just plain not so great.

4. I am not keen on the crop of the hand here, but you could get even closer on the face and it'd work

5. is a touch yellow and the eye is a black hole-problem I have a LOT with newborns with an opened eye!!!

6 is very nice, I am not falling in love with what looks like you blurred out the blanket. You did a good job on it, but to another photog it's pretty noticeable. Parents should love it!

I like #3; #2 looks a bit off color wise...too dark/black perhaps?

I really think you overdid the contrast/blacks on number 2. I think posing wise the last few you posted are better. Skin color might be a tad off in 4 and 5. Someone with more expertise will no doubt chime in. My favorite would have to be number 6 although the blur might be a bit much.

Thank you, #2 I was going for a more vintage feel but I see what you mean now I look back at it (love having this site for other people point out what I miss). Here is a different version of that photo...

But I though possibly th foucs becomes the teddy rather than the baby, but the Mum wanted the teddy in the photo.

Too much stuff going on. Too many props. The towels or blankets are blending into the background and their edges should have been folded into neat, rounded edges that fit properly within the basket. As it is the edges are not so pretty. Love the color of your fake flooring. Very rich.
Less is more with props. If you are using 3 or 4 props it is WAY to much. You have a basket, towels, bear, flowers... One prop is a lot with newborns. Two is pushing it, but there are many places to use two or more... Your image needs to be about the subject. Not all this other stuff.
