Went down this evening to shoot some more. I also reworked the first set, making most of them a bit warmer. I'll post the entire set once I finish, but I have a feeling I'll still be working on these for a while--there's a long list of shots to get, both inside and out.

The Football Field:

Bradlaw: (Really not sure about this one, the lighting blows)

Hu??? Did you forget this was a new topic and some of us have no idea what you mean by more... well, I guess we can assume you mean you shot these scenes before, but it's still confusing.

Anyway, I like the detail shot of the blossoms. Front of campus is nice too. The rest just don't excite me.

Apologies for the confusion. I am photographing the campus for their new website. They have an interactive map that needs images for all the things on campus.

 That's a nice school! Also, some nice pictures there! I'm sure they'll love the one of campus security, since parents are always worried about that.

If I'm reading the correct tuition, it's high, but not as bad as I originally thought.

I used to live near a school where tuition for kindergarten was $20,000, and it went up from there. Couldn't understand it.

Actually it's not. It's a semi-public semi-private school, and my town paid the tuition for me to go (I lived in a town close to Norwich but we didn't have our own high-school). Tuition is only like 12 or 13k, and if you live in a member town, they pay for it (which you obviously pay for with taxes and all that).

At least you're taxes are going someplace. Sometimes I wonder in the area that I live. haha.

Still seem too cool for me.

I wanna see them like this:

the sun is low, it should be warm golden sun.

Looks so much more inviting and true to life.

Maybe my monitor is off.
They look cooler on my phone than they do on my laptop. Yours do have a better color. Or maybe I have an innate tendency for cool images.

I would shoot with a loose frame, lots of extra space around the buildings, then correct for the diverging lines in PhotoShop. Or I'd shoot somewhat around normal, (around a FF 50mm focal length), and stitch the building together so there are any obvious distortions. I would use the diverging and converging lines for emphasis ... ala a ... a grand doorway, the go wide and shoot from a low angle to loom the doorway above the viewer.

I basically just did this:

The front of campus is really nice. Some still have some odd perspectives and others feel like they're either in too close or too far away (football field). With Tirrell 1 vertical might work, it seems rather chopped off. The Atrium is dark back in there yet has that reflective glass so that might be challenging, it's hard to read the signs too; could be done more than one way, get in closer or maybe not centered (instead of the dark wall in shade to the left the building to the right has some interest w/those windows).

Or try a different time of day - the shadow on Campus Safety is right thru the S and those yellow lines aren't doing much for the picture - seems like it needs to be from close up or back farther, or both ways, but from the vantage point it seems too crowded in the frame with too many distractions.
