Niagara Falls, Canada

My wife and I took some well deserved downtime and made a trip to visit our neighbors to the north.

1) Early morning hoping to see the falls in early sunlight. Unfortunately, what was left of Hurricane Ernesto brought in cloud cover and rain later that day.

2) Late at night with changing light colors illuminating the falls. I didn't have my tripod so I did my best bumping up the ISO and bracing the camera against a wall.

the second one is really nice. but i also like the first one... maybe if the clouds were less exposed and had more structure it would be truly great.

anyway, it is a shame that Niagara falls has been tamed by mankind and one cannot see the original power of the falls anymore.

Still I did like it when I went there My shots of the falls are all rather below average so I will not show them.
