Nice morning today

So walking the boy to school I get to make photos of sunrises almost every day. I am debating removing the plane and it's trail, but it kind of adds some scale. Thoughts on it from a technical aspect? I know the subject isn't that exciting, and one is cooked pretty well. My son likes the more realistic image better, so I posted both.
