nice subtle flash? nightclub pictures

How do they do it??? Photographers in nightclubs always have beautiful pictures, and the flash doesnt make people white.... does anyone know the trick or what is needed to do that

That's called good flash exposure. if it's too harsh, you dial down the flash power if needed.

I actually find this picture quite blend and boring.
I prefer color in nightclubs !!!

I have had good results in similar lighting situations by firing the flash in TTL -0.7EV, and slow syncing at the widest aperture.
