Night Fog

What's the best way to take fog at night with just a street light for lighting. I was able to capture the fog around the light, but the rest of the fog didn't show up.

It sounds as if your camera is metering from a point unsuitably dark. Try metering on a darker area, or manually exposing. If that sounds too much like hard work, then have a look for exposure compensation on your camera and set +2EV in that situation.

try bracketing +3 and -3 you should get something useable.
