night shots

Hello,
Ive been taking alot of night shots with my nikon D3000 and i adjusted the ISO to 1600 but now all my pictured are very grainy! How can i get them to be more clear?

You can either shoot at a lower ISO, say 600 with a tripod, or you can use a program like noise ninja to clean it up in post. You can also shoot in RAW and de-noise a bit in the RAW editor. ISO is a trade off though, and Im not sure the upper reasonable limit of your sensor.

ive tried not going above 800 for iso on my D300 because the noise starts getting bad. only thing i can really suggest personally. is going with some better glass.

Use tripod, try to use ISO as low as possible, and try with longer shutter speed
