Nikon 18-200 VR II

I have an 18-200 VRII in excellent condition available for sale. This includes the original box and everything that came in it, with the exception of the hard-copy manual (God knows what I've done with it.)

I used the lens extensively for about 6 months, but since picking up a 24-70 and 70-200, I don't use it at all.

Asking price is $625, and includes free shipping via UPS or FedEx ground anywhere in the continental US. I will accept PayPal or Cash-In-Hand, and can travel to anyplace in SE Michigan anytime. I can travel to SW Michigan, Ohio, or NE Indiana w/in a given 2-week span. I will not sell/ship internationally, sorry.

Don't see my post so here goes again. New to the forum I've been thinking of this lens. In terms of wedding photography how is the sharpness?

The 18-200 isn't Nikon's sharpest. I don't personally find "issue" with it, but I can definitely tell the difference between it and the 24-70 or 70-200, particularly at the far ends of the zoom range and wide open aperture. Then again, that's why the 18-200 is less than half the cost of either of those two lenses.

This isn't intended to be a lens for pro wedding work. The 18-200's place is as a "Jack-of-all-trades" (master of none) lens.
