nikon 80-200 VS sigma 70-200?vs nikon 70-200 VRi

wow thanks for all the input guys it's nice to log on and see some feed back...
yeah it's kinda a a hard choice right.
 
at this point i am thinking the sigma b/c it has OS and prob. and good IQ as the 80-200
but lets see how I feel tomorrow...
no rush but I would like to decided in the next week.

Rent it first
 
^ i really would love to however there is now were to rent it here in wyoming...in fact there is not much of anything here...
i see if I can find a company the will mail rentals but i doubt i'll find one.

That's the only way to do it in most places in the country. lensrentals.com or borrowlenses.com
 
The 80-200 afd is just as sharp as the 70-200mm it just won't focus as fast.

One thing to consider with older used lenses is that af-s motors are almost always the first point of failure, so if u want something that will last the afd may be a better choice.
