Hello.

I have three Nikon camera options:

Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm VR lens for $520

Nikon D3300 with a 18-55mm AF-S VR G lens for about $600.

Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm VR lens and a 70-30mm F/4-5.6 G lens for $655.

I'm a beginner with no knowledge of photography.

Pay for the third option really hurts me a bit.

What do you think is the best option for a noob?

Thanks.

Nikon had few versions of the Nikon 70-300mm
ONLY the last version with the VR is a good lens, the rest of them are cheap and has very mediocre optics, I would stay away from this lens if its the older G version!!!

I would get the offer with the Nikon D3300 and basic kit lens 18-55mm
It has slightly better sensor and had its AA filter removed.

You mean, if the lens comes with VR, no matter the version of the lens, then I should go for it?

goodguy has recommended the D3300 deal.

As "Designer" said I think you should get the D3300 with its basic kit lens

Many times I saw in such deals sellers trying to push the older non VR version of the 70-300mm, it might seems like a sweet deal but it aint.

Get the D3300, learn how to use it and then decide what you need/want to do.
I used to own the Nikon 70-300mm VR in the past, bought it used, lots of these lenses floating around and they are not too expensive used.

Not sure if you already bought, but B&H Photo has the d3300 for $446 with some free items included. I purchased our d3300 from there a year ago. They are a trustworthy site and a Nikon authorized dealer.
