nikon D60 mirror/viewfinder movement

Does anyone know why the mirror in my D60 moves up and down slowly after taking a picture? it only does it when using the flash.

Err does it affect your shooting? Why are you looking into the mirror compartment and flashing yourself in the face

But seriously does it affect the shooting? If not than I wouldn't worry about it. No answer on why it would do it though.
