nikon d800 and yongnuo RF-603, flash triggers, will it work as a remote shutter

if you know the RF-603s they work as a flash trigger, they work with the d800, but they need a cable to work as a shutter release on the d800. from what i gather the d700 and the d800 use the same shutter release 9 pin or whatever cable. the only thing is for shutter release the yongnuo doesnt list the d800, only the d700 and others.

anyone know if this would work, it would be easy for me to use stuff i already have, and pack less gear. it would only require buying a cable.

I used the cable that came with the RF-603N's I ordered. I was curious and ran across your post asking, so decided to try it (just minutes ago) and see what happened. I was able to fire the shutter remotely using the 2 603's.
