Nikon D90 - Help!

HI..

I'm new to the forum, and to using my D90. I have lots to learn (my 1st dsl). I have only used it a few times on auto - but somehow, now it won't take pics - the button won't even press down. The screen keeps flashing "F _ _ ". The manual doesn't address this in troubleshooting, so am at a loss.

Any ideas on what the issue is or how to get the "F _ _ " flashing gone so the camera will work?

Try taking the battery out, then put it back in and turn it on.

It sounds like the lens might not be fully clicked into the lens mount, as it doesn't know what aperture to display... But I could be wrong. Try turning your lens so that it either locks, or comes off of the body. If it comes off of the body, put it back on until you hear a click.

Page 255 of your Nikon D90 users manual describes what F-- blinking means.......

No Lens Attached OR a Non-CPU lens is attached, in which case images can be made only in M mode

Which is basically what o hey tyler suggested - the lens may not be fully seated.
