Nikon D90 P* mode

I understand how [FONT=&quot]Flexible Program works but where does it show the selected setting after rotating the main command dial ? P changes to P* but the shutter speed and exposure settings displayed stay the same which ever way you turn the main command dial. I see this question posted many times on the net, but never an answer !

You are adjusting exposure compensation, what you need to do is use the sub command dial in front.

It's in the manual too.
