Nikon/digital acessories or converters

I do not know if this is in the right place on the forum. However, I have a Nikon coolpix 5700 and I am looking for filters and my LCS said that Nikon makes their own that fit this camera and other ones do not fit it properly. I have read that even with some converters their will be some vignetting if you use other filters. I was wondering if anyone on here has done so? Or any recomendations for converters and the best filters.
