Hey
I have been taking pictures as a hobby for some time now and I'm interested in taking it more seriously. I have a Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR and a Nikon P80 10MP "bridge camera."
I use the Nikon more often because it's simply easier. This is not a DSLR camera, however it has similar functionality, and thus the "bridge" category.
I find that I can only get crisp clarity and exposure when the shutter speed is set to 1 sec or more, with a low F-stop usually around 2.8.
However, let's say I set the speed to 1/200s, f/11, ISO 200, all I get in return are black, unusable photos.
Why is this?
Note: I work with 2 soft boxes, a reflector, and a hair light.
