Nikon Picture Project or other?

I think my major complaint is that when I delete a photo from the "project" it doesn't delete it from my HD. I have to go to File/Delete File to do it and it's not available from a hotkey or the right click menu.

Also the photos are not organized by folder on the HD as they are in the software. I have to look up the file path of the image in the software to find it on my HD.

I'm finding that I don't really like using this software to manage my photos. Anyone have a suggestion on what to use?

Get a mac and use iPhoto
That's my suggestion at least. As for windows if that's all you have, then I prolly wouldn't be much help. Although if you don't already have a mac then I'm being pretty useless right now. So I'll just end this post. :roll:

Have you tried using Picasa?

It's from the group over at Google and it's free. I use it and it has all the features I find that I need (ability to classify an image by keywords, create an automatic website, search for images, etc)

And then there are numerous commercial software programs from Adobe and the like.

Can you say SPYWARE!!! Opens a dialer Had to delete it quick. run adware after you install it. If you dont have a firewall you probably wont notice.

I never had problems with it. I don't have pop ups and I have no complaints.
