Hi Guys,

I currently own a D50, which has served me well and paid for itself many times over in tog work!

I'm currently saving to purchase a D300, however due to buying a house this has been put on hold.

I have been asked to photograph a car show, however currently lack a decent zoom lens (i usually work with my 50mm and 28mm prime lens in my line of work)

Can you recommend a decent zoom lens, ideally i guess upto 200-300mm which won't break the bank (2nd hand is fine!) I have seen the nikon lens (with VR) however i'm not sure i could stump up the £400+ required :(

Thanks

Chris

???

Anyway, why do you need 300mm to shoot a car show? That's a pretty loooong zoom, are you shooting it from across the street?

The 70-300mm f4-5.6 is a decent zoom with lots of range, and can be had for a song second-hand.
