I waited patiently (and shiveringly) behind a blind for 3 hours to get this shot. This gorgeous 9 point whitetail buck came out of the woodline slowly and was rather wary. He was a big one, for NW FL at least. I am estimating he was around 225 - 240 or so. This was taken in the height of deer season and I even heard gunfire while I was there. I used my Nikon F4S and 600mm f/5.6 AIS Nikkor and my Nikon TC-300 teleconverter with Ektar 100 to get this shot. I only got 3 shots off before he heard the shutter and motor and turned around and started walking back to the woodline. This was the second of the three as as you can see he has already alerted. With as gorgeous a rack as he had, I hope he survived the season! I used to deer hunt but now prefer shooting them with cameras over rifles.
