What... what?? Was the lack of Canon knowledge of this Nikon user showing?
Who knew that Canon, that has every lens in existence, did not have a 85mm F/1.4?
Now that I've been properly schooled, the 85mm F/1.8 seems to be the only option. Besides, as mentioned, normally you do not want uber shallow DOFs at a church shooting all the time, and the deeper the DOF, the better the chances of not getting issues associated with this. In those situations, I typically want to try to stay above F/4 if possible.
