just curious...

without the internet how will you know what's in the news?
how will you know what's on tv?
how will you shop?
how will you do your banking?
how will you talk to people?
how will you see your friends?

you'll be so disconnected from the world around you.

it's giving me cold shivers just asking about it !

It's a scary prospect indeed!
Worse though is when you go to the bank and they say "Oh yeah you can make an account online" darn bank workers sending you home to do their work

Mine's over $350 a month. Back in the day when we had a land line I had a heart attack if the bill was over $50. WHAT HAPPENED THERE??

REALLY easy... We have 5 lines on there (us, 2 kids at home and one in college) and a wifi. NONE of the kids phones have data plans either. Just mine and my husband's. Verizon owns us.

Ours is about $140 a month (2 lines), and that's with a 30% discount because I work for a 'preferred' employer.

Just got the land line hooked up again (~$20/mo.). We get that free for the first two months. The plan is to have no cell phone bill by the time we have to start paying that.

We'll just get prepaid phones for emergencies. We don't use cell phones much anyway. Certainly not enough to justify paying $140 a month for them.

Bleh kids don't need mobile phones - just a pay as you go (helps them money manage) to phone home to get collected from school or something.

I went 5 years with no cable and no internet not long ago. It wasn't the end of the world... I think I actually had more fun and went out and did more 'stuff' back then.

I'm tempted to do it again, but, like I said, we kind of rely on internet access here...
