Caught this while in Mexico over the break. Hopefully more shots to share when I get my Kodachrome back. :)

I tried to use the clouds to emphasize the passing of day into night. How do you think I did?

Hey, you did!
And you did well.
Is it real stars that begin to show in the night-side of the side (upper part of photo)?

Thank you.:D

Yes, those are stars. It was a beatiful evening/night. They are better defined on the print. They lost something in the scanning process.

Generally I like something solid in the foreground to go with a sunset, this picture is an exception. There is enough colors, patterns and textures to make it interesting. Really like the way the picture radiates from the left to right. Well spotted and composed TBarick

great :)

I had similar sky when i was there last year, but i never could get a shot with the sea included as i apparenty was at the wrong coast (regarding light)

the camera is facing east on this one?

cannot wait to see your other shots :)

beautiful, and to me theres greater symbolism then just day passing into night
