Get youself a Lightroom or cheap Photoshop Elements program for editing.
As others posted sit down with your camera your manual and read what everything is and get your camera set up for use.
Just starting out ditch trying to shoot in Manual.
Set it to Aperture priority and F5.6, the manual will tell you how to do that.
Then use your exposure compensation wheel for minor adjustments on photo exposures, more for bright shots, less for dark shots. Again the manual will tell you where those things are and how they work.
Start there.
