Noobie shooting birds

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Along the river this morning a great blue heron was standing on the bank between two fishermen. I figured since the bird was not disturbed by having two people waving fishing poles within 10 feet of it, maybe I could sneak up on it and grab some pictures without scaring it away. I got within about 6 or 7 feet of it, and snapped about a dozen pictures.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I should have thrown the background out of focus with a wider aperture on the second one, but I just got so excited about being up close and personal with a heron that I forgot to think about those kind of things. Bad on me. Live and learn.[/FONT]
