Not very happy with new lens and need help

This is a brand new lens. Canon 50mm f1.8 only used once for a shoot, never dropped, always covered. Has anyone had this happen before? Will canon replace?

this is the lens, those little black particles are inside the lens "floating" in the glass, has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Hmmm maybe through shipping the lens got bumped/fell hard and pieces of plastic broke off and are now just floating in there. Either try to return if possible or send it to canon. That can't be very good.

yeah send it back to canon, probably just something gone wrong in the shipping or manufacture process

I would send it back to the camera store for a replacement - though I doubt it will affect image quality
