Yes, the fever with the ability to create without a lot of menu bullcrap and actually, manually perform operations that produce results in a simple manner.

Me too. I feel way more in control vs. the Nikon. I had a lemon D7200 in my opinion but the response I received from technical support made my decision to change. They blamed me and said I needed to calibrate all my glass, even zoom at all focal length increments. I called one more time and was told a totally different story about how to hold the camera, turn on VR .... I asked for supervisor to call, took 6 weeks for a call back. The day she called, I just traded it in.

#1 is perfect floating in the void blacked out the way I like it

Is that a koi in #2? For some reason jt looks like floating foliage and the shadow of a Koi. Im super tired thkugh eyes/ brain could be malfu

Very strong shooting. I am impressed by your effrorts on these. I think shots two and three are good enough to steal. Give it a few months and then use TinEye and check for your shots on Asian travel and tourism websites!

I love the first and second one, really stunning.

The third one makes me feel a bit confused when it comes to the focus. It is a very interesting focus when looked from a bit of an artistic point of view, yet to me it lacks the feeling of actual depth.

Thanks. That's one of my favorite things about that macro (#3), you can get creative with breathing and rocking the manual focus while peaking all at the same time. I like that you can change the color of the focus peaking, very handy with flowers.

Very nice JC. With the previous Pentax I did mostly SOOC JPEG, and frankly there were many that equalled or were better than those that I've spent considerable time on in post. As I delve more into the menus and sub menus of the K3ii, I'm beginning to wonder if I might need to revisit that option.

Thanks. One advantages to jpegs with this camera is you can zoom 100% in preview mode. It kind of forces you to get the exposure right in camera. This camera is very useful for the way I want to shoot. I want to get it right in camera, limit post work, comprehensive focus control, comprehensive control over color / contrast. 100% view 3:2 or 1:1.
