~ O' Dogs And Dreams ~

Whilst watching me dogs fast asleep by the fire after a particularly hard day o' training, I ponder their dreams and what they must be like. Laying on their sides, eyes closed, their feet twitching or at times seemingly moving as though they are running, I ask meself what they are visualizing? Their occasional whimpering sounds much akin to those made as we turn off o' the paved road and onto the dirt laneways so common to the grounds that we hunt and train on, are often made as they slumber. Me connections to me beloved gun dogs are bonds that are primal in their origin, we hunt as a team, we live as a pack, our cooperative efforts determine our success. Again me thoughts turn to what dogs dream o' and I conclude our dreams must be much the same.
