Wow, where does all this water come from in summer?

That area has had record rainfall a few times over the last few weeks...and it's fairly close to the mountains...so all the rain that fell between there and the mountains, has funneled into the rivers.

I'm about 300km from Calgary and our river peaked at about 10m above normal...just this morning. I think there were some small flooded areas but it's nowhere as bad as it is down south.

A sad news story today...a truck driver died when he crashed and drove into a raging river. He came over a hill to a bridge and there were people standing on the bridge looking at the high water. The people caused traffic to stop and the truck could not stop in time.
