Off cam flash's

i was looking at the vivitar flash's on ebay and i was wonder the flash i am looking at is made for a canon but will it work on a nikon

also can a flash work from a 35mm to a digital cam?

if your going to use it off camera it shouldn't matter

eeehh well will it work? yeah most likely.

however chances are it won't take any TTL (i-TTL or some **** they have now) readings so you'll probably have to use it mostly manually.

however don't hold me to that. i'm not 100% sure

edit:i didn't realize you edited the first post, no a film flash will not work on a digital camera, it will fry your camera the voltage is so high.
