Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
im in the market for a scanner to scan in my 35mm negatives. does anyone know of a decent scanner (mainly for b&w if that matters) thats not super pricey? let me know what scanners have worked best for you in the past and which scanners should be avoided like the plague if you want :-P Thanks for reading

For the cheap, i'd recommend an epson V700

$500 - $600 bucks isnt exactly what id call cheap lol but thanks

*edit* just looked up average prices for film scanners....seems like im in over my head budget wise to get one of these..*sigh*

The Epson V500 was the previous model and is not bad at scanning negatives and slides

From what I've picked up something like the mentioned epson V700 would certainly be enough for day to day scanning and general use. That would at least allow you to produce good quality results whilst not breaking your bank and also letting you be more selective with what negatives you send in for higher quality scans (since whilst on their own these will be less; over time the costs will add up fast).

Depends on the quality you want, but there are some cheap (in both senses) feed-based scanners that might be more appropriate.

its not like i want hi res or anything. im just starting out with 35mm and i want to be able to share my photos online, id be ok with a shoebox scanner if i had a digital camera to do it but seeing as a decent digital would run me around 100 - 200 bucks it kinda defeats the purpose. so i was just looking for a moderately priced scanner that would allow me to share my film at decent quality. maybe thats asking too much? i dont know, im really new at this stuff :meh:
