That old G-5 could have been built as late as 1948 so NOT as old as me......

'cepting that's not a G5 which was a Pacific (4-6-2), that's an MLW (Angus Shops) 'Ten Wheeler' D Class, built prior to 1915 for CP.

In the early 50s I road on a steamer from London ON out to BC & back in sleeping cars. We had conductors & porters, who nowadays knows what a porter is/was.

Railroads were definitely the civilized way to travel, no doubt about it!
