Old dog

Way, way, way overprocessed HDR.

Not only is it an over processed HDR photograph, but it looks like your camera focused on the fence, and not the dog.

I don't like the cage/fence or the HDR look. Sorry.

Keep shooting!

This does not look good. Try a different processing method, because the one you used isn't working.

Looks like something from an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Scary, sinister and creepy. I like the shadows around the dogs hair, the blurry creepy looking background.
As a artistic photo, I like the effects.

yeah not to crazy about this myself. I don't think that cage helps the photo at all and its crooked.

I like HDR but I am not fond of this.

Keep trying though. If you want to hdr try other subjects before you hit animals. You need to use your correct exposures to mask in a more life like look unless you were going for this look.

here is two shots I did of these two horses that are HDR. I had to do a lot of masking so that the tonemapped version did not make them look like muscle horse freaks....

Vipgraphx, I follow your work in the HDR forums, and actually post a few pictures there myself. I really like both horse images because they do in fact look realistic as you pointed out, and both are solid compositions. The only issue I have is with pic 1, where you cut off the hoofs of the main horse. Just think that it would be a much stronger composition if all the horse "parts" were there.
