Interesting. The brightness doesn't bother me and I think works a nice contrast with the shabbiness of the room. I would try cropping the sides to make it square - I don't think we need those walls at the sides or the door on the right.

It works well. Quite romantic in sort of way. It is more about impression than documentary reality. I like it as it is.
