Old Mill Falls, Skowvegas Maine

Out and about yesterday. Tried some smooth water shots on a falls. Was slightly too bright so I slapped on a ND filter and had a go. Thoughts?

#1. Not sure about the two colors.

love the colors! really enjoy the second one.. the last one i kind of like, but the foreground looks a little out of focus? maybe its due to the long exposure.

Thanks. Yeah the bridge I way on was moving more than I expected.

I like the first one, only because I like the way the water leads the eye from the dam in the background, meandering slowly to the foreground. That is lost on the landscape shots. The hard, sharp lines contrast with the soft, flowing water too, and as Drew-Dover said, the colors are nice too.

On a side note, it is crazy how dry it has been here. This time of year the water should be cascading over the dam a lot more then that. I am working with a guy who is from Skowheagan. Nice town with a lot of heart!

I hope so. The water level is controlled by the dam so it's always a crap shoot.
