I couldn't agree with CB more. It's a great shot! If anything, you may want to nudge the whites up ever so slightly. At least on my monitor, the highlighted snow looks the slightest bit upper gray. Fantastic shot and definitely a hanger

^^ agreed. More white would like nice. BUT i do understand the purpose of the shot, at least for me. I like the gray snow and dreary look, it is a dead tree after all! I say keep it as is frame that sucker!

Good call - I have put the whiter version in the first post.

I think I prefer the first version. The gray adds to the dreary mood conveyed here. And I ususally find myself drawn to more contrast-y B&W's. Love that tree !
