Old Relics Light up for a Final Review Site...............

I like your enthusiasm. As someone who is fairly new to this, and doing it mostly for my own enjoyment, I like to strike a balance between hoping that my images are as good as I think they are and expecting folks who have been doing this for years, and learning about it just as eagerly am am now, to recognize my untrained genius. :) I saw a few images that I liked on your page. One thing I'd suggest is learning as much about what you're trying to do as possible, then be very selective and post the best shots on your page. Admire the quality of them over the quantity.

There are enough relics and fossils in my family -- I think I'll pass.

Most like the site, each picture is Different.........When you mouse click several you will find ONE you RELATE to...Post REVIEWS .......I also have a 1970's site on there.....:1219::1219::grumpy-36:.............
I think you've got a good concept, but I think there's a lot of room for further refinement. One of the things that strikes me most is that your lighting/exposure control could use a lot of work. Many images have large areas of very harsh and/or blown highlights which severely detracts from the overall quality. Remember that the human eye is attracted to bright over dark, so if you have a small bright area with no detail in an otherwise dark image, there's really nothing for the eye to see.

Additionally, you seem to be fond of extreme angles, often referred to as 'Dutch Tilt'. This can add to the impact of the image, but is often (usually?) overdone. I would suggest posting 2-3 of the images you feel are your best work in a new thread in the General Gallery, and see what the feedback is on them.

I really like it a lot, I'll give it 5 thumbs up. :) Some people don't like or understand certain concepts such as this or avant garde, but I think it all has a place in the world.
Kudos to you and your idea here, nice work.

Thanks............Slowly I am getting some Good pictures on there......they are taken at sunset so I have only a short time to take the picture before it is too dark..........The concept is the bring Abandoned America back to life for a final review.......:bek181::bek181::band::band::Clown:...

That means soon they will be torn down.............

If you were going for a Tales From The Crypt vibe-- that's what I took away. I don't have anything particularly helpful to add. I think this series means something to you but I don't think the meaning comes across to the masses. The Nixon paper is interesting but I think moreso because of its historical value than the particular execution of your vision. Sometimes personal projects are just that-- personal. Just because it means something to you doesn't mean that everyone will understand what you are trying to convey.

TBH, I have a hard time taking any of this seriously, and it's mostly because of your high-drama cryptic speak. We're all photographers here. Why not just turn it down a bit and talk with us?

From my perspective, I would rather see one or two photos well done than several hundred of essentially the same thing. JMHO.

I'm lost.
