Old Tree for C&C

I think the image is still soft? Trying different techniques in PS. What do you think?

Ok, now this is a a kick butt tree. I would love to photograph this!

Can't say for sure if it's soft on that size image, but it looks okay. Try reshooting at a different time of day when you can have the benefit of the sun to eliminate some of those shadows. LOTS of potential here.

I say it looks pretty good, but the contrast between the upper and lower portions bug me.

Yeah, gonna be hard to reshoot, this tree is about 8000 miles away....gotta work with what I have eh!

That's a cool tree! Would love to see a bit more of that root and the top. Still a good shot though.

I think that's what it is that irks me as well. I'll have to 'play' with it a bit more in PS and see if I can figure out how to improve it.

It is just too dark on the top for me. It looks like you could have made the exposure a tad higher because I dont see hot spot. Or what you really need is probably gradual filter. Make the top brighter and leave the bottom the way it is.

Yes, the ruins of the temple walls at Angkor Wat. Good suggestion, I'll try a filter in PS.
