Olympus E3 or Nikon D300 for sports

Then do something more THAN COMPLAIN ABOUT IT!!!

and what do you think my comment did - they're all cropped sensors, I think the E3 is a 4:3 format as well. . . lenses are limited with the Olympus, but they have some great contendors (esp wide angle, a 7-14mm!). . .I would lean towards Nikon since lens selection and the price of the D300 is coming down with the advent of the D700 FF (lighter and slower version of the D3). . .I hope that corrects all of the misinformation that's getting slung around. . .

I swear Village Idiot, always trying to stir stuff up aren't you. . .I know how slow things get in WV though, I visit my parents there every Xmas and the internet becomes my boredom crutch. . .

You can actually get 8 frames/second on the D300 with the extra battery grip.

I'm a newbie at sports photography and once I got my D300 my sports pictures improved big time. I didn't do anything different BUT get a new camera. I don't have any opinions on the other camera since I don't own it.

7-14!!!?!??!?

That's 14-28. Not very spectacular, especialy for $1,594.95. Pretty much most of Olympus's quality glass is more expensive than the competitor's.

And I need something to do while I'm sitting here at this secure government facility with nothing to do all day.
