I will say this much - if you know someone who already use it sucessfully - thats a person to ask...

Or hit all the online sites that show the basics... if you hate it this much this will not be the begining of a good workflow and you will hate post processing - that would be very bad in the world of photography today as it clearly mandates post processing and speed of delivery.

if anyone is ever searching and has the same issue... it was a faulty camera raw support update from Apple. They had to email me the newest one that is not available on their website yet.

I have a D90. Use aperture, shoot in raw. Everything is good with me.
