The raptors are making a good come back. I live in a heavily populated urban area in the Pacific NW, and last Spring we had a pair haunting a small wetland about .5 miles from our house. They stayed until it was fished out, but we had good sitings for a couple weeks -- osprey, too! Hope you get good shots on your adventure!

I saw some in Maine a long time ago. They nest high up in large trees, so the only person in the group that got even a decent shot was using a 400 mm lens, and the nest was pretty small even in his pictures. A 400 is a great bird lens, but if they're that high up it's tough.
